I have always had an interest in weight training but never thought I could do it.  I knew I needed the structure provided by a coach in a class setting and Warrior Body offered just that. 

Warrior Body has far exceeded my expectations.  All the coaches are knowledgeable, invested, and supportive.  There is real focus on body mechanics, and proper form when lifting.  Coaches are always helpful with answering all my questions.

Micki  creates an environment that facilitates growth in mind, body, and soul.  I have gained so much since I started 2 years ago.  I have set goals, met goals, and set new goals.

It’s not only about weight loss, it’s feeling stronger, lifting a weight you never thought you could,  and learning to fuel your body properly before and after a workout.

Micki always tells us, our bodies are made to move.  I find myself craving movement. 

The gym is filled with so many strong Warriors of all levels, creating an atmosphere full of encouragement.  The feeling of community is strong, which makes showing up easy and showing up is half the battle sometimes.

“Two years ago I started my search for a new gym, I tried several different gyms, fitness classes, and online challenges but nothing was working for me. I felt stuck and wanted to try something different, something that could challenge me in a group setting with a focus on weight lifting and still have cardio without doing the repetitive moves/motions each class.

My boyfriend had met Micki and knew about her program- Warrior Body, he knew I had been “Gym shopping” and suggested it to me, I thought “why not, I’ll sign up for 6 weeks and see what happens.”

Signing up was a breeze, and as nervous as I was, I was ready to start this challenge! Micki and the coaches were patient, and kind, and explained every move answering any questions or concerns. 

Anytime I or anyone else didn’t feel comfortable with a move, we were encouraged to try it (but not pressured) if we couldn’t do it, an alternative move is offered without feeling ashamed or discouraged, and this is one of the reasons why I Warrior, encouragement and understanding.

My original goal was to fit into smaller-sized clothing, to see that goal weight on my scale, instead Micki, the coaches, and the Warriors have taught me it isn’t about the number/weight on the scale, but the number/weight in which you lift, a mindset I’ve never had before and another reason why I Warrior.

Warrior Body has taught me to alter my mindset, I don’t get into a negative mindset if I’m not capable of doing something right away, I look forward to working out (something I never understood how other people could), and I leave every class feeling stronger than the last and that is why I Warrior.

Lastly and most importantly, if you took away all of the equipment, mats, and lights, and were left with 4 walls and a ceiling Micki and the coaches would still find a way to provide a full-body workout that would leave the Warriors feeling accomplished and sore compared with my past experiences with gyms that simply wouldn’t be possible and that, that is exactly why I Warrior.

Warrior Body has literally changed my life! I started out there several years ago as a member. I didn’t know a soul but was immediately welcomed and felt very much at home. The workouts are very well balanced and include so many different movements and implements. Micki inspired me to get certified as a health coach because I’ve always been so interested in fitness. Now I’m a health coach and a Warrior Body coach, along with some other incredibly kind, intelligent, and motivating coaches! It’s so much more than a gym. It’s a family, and I’m proud to be part of it!
